山形大学医学部附属病院は、教育・研究と臨床医学をつなぐ重要な拠点として、医学部の教育・研究に必要な機能を確保するとともに、山形県内唯一の特定機能病院として地域住民に高度な医療を提供してきました。 医学の進歩には、基礎研究と臨床研究のいずれもが重要な役割を担っています。大学病院では多くの臨床研究や治験が行われており、医療の最前線で研究と臨床を結びつけることで、医療の進歩と社会貢献に寄与しています。 なかでも、2021年に治療を開始した重粒子線治療は、山形大学が総力を挙げて推進している先端医療です。約２年間で1,000名以上の患者さんが当施設で治療を受け、有効かつ低侵襲な治療選択のひとつとして日本の医療に貢献しています。ロボット支援手術にも力を入れており、既に1,000名を超える患者さんに実施しています。2023年からは２台目の手術支援用ロボットを導入し、適応疾患を拡大しています。また、当院は全国で33施設のがんゲノム医療拠点病院のひとつに指定されており、パネル検査の結果についてエキスパートパネルと呼ばれる専門家会議を開催し、検査結果の医学的解釈と推奨される薬剤や臨床試験を検討することができます。このような様々な治療手段を用いた集学的ながん治療を検討する場として実施しているキャンサー・トリートメントボードでは、幅広い分野の専門家の意見を集約して患者さんに最適な医療を提案しています。 当院では、がん治療以外にも一般的な疾患から高度な医療が必要な疾患まで様々な患者さんに対応しています。地域医療の最後の砦としての機能を果たすと共に、地域に開かれ、地域に愛される病院を目指して、職員が一丸となり取り組んでいます。Yamagata University Hospital, as an important center that connects education and research with clinical medicine, ensures the functions necessary for education and research for a medical school, and provides advanced medical treatment to local residents as Yamagata Prefecture's only advanced treatment hospital.Both basic research and clinical research play an important role in the advancement of medicine. Extensive clinical research and clinical trials are conducted at the University Hospital, and by linking research and clinical practice at the forefront of medical care, we contribute to the advancement of medical treatment as well as to society.In particular, heavy-ion radiotherapy, which began in 2021, is state-of-the-art medical treatment that Yamagata University is making an all-out effort to promote. More than 1,000 patients have received treatment at our facility over the last two years, and we continue to contribute to Japanese medicine as one of the effective and minimally invasive treatment options. We are also focusing our efforts on robot-assisted surgery, and have already performed more than 1,000 patient surgeries. In 2023, we introduced a second surgical robot and have expanded the range of cases that can be effectively treated by this technology. In addition, our hospital is designated as one of 33 Cancer Genome Medicine Core Hospitals in Japan, and we hold expert meetings called expert panels on the results of panel testing, where medical interpretations of test results and recommended drugs and clinical trials can be discussed. The Cancer Treatment Board, which serves as a forum for reviewing multidisciplinary cancer treatments using such various treatment methods, brings together the opinions of experts from a wide range of fields to propose the best medical care for patients.In addition to cancer treatment, our hospital treats a wide range of patients with a variety of conditions, from general illnesses to those requiring advanced medical treatment.
